Now, I'm wishing I read this article before the Texture Degree's one. Now, I feel a little bit better but I'm still really confused about my hair type to be honest. It's so many textures in one and I'm just surprised that I've managed to even keep up with it and keep it healthy for so long.
Though, I did come up with a way of really sectioning out my "weird" areas. I just basically cornrow my hair up without products, then take it out. I don't know the scientific reasoning for it but when I allow my hair to sit out (no combing), I can really feel around for my natural textures and I think I may have 3 over 2 different types of textures but I think it works for me, since everything seems to be in a fairly reasonable position:
Sides
Middle of the crown
Front half
Though I'm still really debating it because that may only be like that because I'm so used to styling my hair in current ways. Is it even possible to change your natural hair texture with just regular styling (no relaxers, chemicals or heating).
