This is extremely interesting but...
I'm actually multi-racial with a pretty decent amount of hair (a little pass my shoulders) of natural hair. For the most part I believe that I'm mostly leading towards my Afro-Caribbean roots but I still have a high range of Asian and Caucasian blood mixed in me.
My hair, best way I could describe it, is really kinda seasonal. It changes up with the seasons but even when I'm in the mid-point of a time period, my hair is like multiple hair textures. It seems like my hair is a combination of 4B and a range of the 3 types. I know that 4B is almost similar to 3B BUT when I apply a curl activator, it would seem that the middle crown of my head curls up almost instantly but it takes extra work just for the rest to catch up.
Am I the only one (multi-racial or other) that this has happened to? Like it seems that your hair is the same all over but certain areas seem to take products better than others? Is that even normal because its like... All my hair is healthy but I'm struggling with the outside portions of my head.
lord give me strength
you can have several different types/textures on one head. like, the majority of your hair could be 4b but in other areas, it's 3c. for most people, the change in textures usually subsides as they grow older so that by the a person is age 5 or so, you get to their "true" texture. for others, the difference remains and it makes styling far more difficult. luckily you've found a way to work with the varying textures but just wanted to say no, you're not alone.
