How was your hair styled before you went natural or dreadlocked?
i was natural for 3 yrs with a TWA. before that i had semi-relaxed hair (i didn't get it done until i had too! ugh!) as a child my hair was ALWAYS relaxed...cuz i have a gang o' hair.

What did you like/dislike about your previous hairstyle?
i just wanted a change.  i hated relaxers bcuz they are so damaging both to my hair, scalp and my psyche.  i hated the salon "process":  show up for your scheduled appointment and wait, 4 hr appts and hair that was too greasy/straight/curly/[fill-in the blank] than what i wanted. ugh!

How long have you been natural/had dreadlocks?
3 yrs of locking... uh, i've been natural since 1996.

Why did you decide to go natural/grow dreadlocks?
i wanted them for a while.  i knew a couple of people with locks and really enjoyed their vibe and wanted to "capture" it.
