I just started my locks. So I guess I have baby locks. My question is how do I keep the back from unlocking? I wrap it everynight as my hairdresser has instructed, but the very back, right at the nap come loose. What can I do to prevent this? Also, what is a good oil product to use daily to keep them looking shiny. I use Moisturizing Oil Sheen. Is that enough?
lord give me strength
what method did you use to begin your locks? how long is your hair? what is your hair type?
do you sleep on your back? do you sweat a lot in your sleep? do you wear a shower cap or the like when you bathe? you need to identify why they're coming loose. it's not always the back/nape of your neck area that will come undone. for me, it was my crown that had trouble locking.
some unraveling is normal. you're simply going to have to "set" the locks that come undone whenever they unravel. there are ways in which you can achieve this but it will depend on how your locks were began.
oil sheen isn't something you can use daily. and if you're using a product daily, it's obviously not working. it's just building up on your hair and wasting money.
