Double Strand or Three Strand Twists look very similar to two-strand twists. The only difference is, three strands of hair are used to create this style versus two. Yeah I know, "isn't that a braid?" When you first start locs with a double strand twist how soon after do you allow washing? My locitician said "see you in two months, don't wash it." I lasted a month (well 3 weeks). We washed they all came out. So we retwisted. Can I use a dry shampoo? Seabreeze for my scalp? Something? Anything? I made a itchy spray of veggie glycerin, peppermint (EO) and water....but that only goes so far. Any advice would be great!
I would say the dry shampoo is a great rout to take.. Like it said in the article if you started you locks double twisted you can wash it whenever.. but if you have the gel twist I usually tell my clients to wait a month.. and even then I still use the dry shampoo.. and dont go crazy on your hair.. be gentle..
